Orlaigh & Adam’s Clandeboye Lodge Wedding

There are some wedding days where you arrive and instantly know you’re going to love every second of it. Orlaigh & Adam’s wedding at Clandeboye Lodge Hotel in County Down was exactly that.

From the moment I walked through the doors, there was an incredible buzz of excitement. The kind of atmosphere that fills the room before the celebrations have even begun. There were happy nerves, lots of laughter, and that unmistakable feeling that something really special was about to happen.

Having already spent time with Orlaigh & Adam during their pre wedding session, it genuinely felt like I was spending the day with friends. This is one of my favourite parts of being a wedding photographer. It’s never just about turning up with a camera. It’s about building a connection, earning trust, and being welcomed into such an important chapter of a couple’s story.

The morning began at Orlaigh’s family home, where the excitement and anticipation for the day ahead were already building.

There is something so special about photographing a bride getting ready somewhere that holds so many memories. The familiar surroundings, the people who have been part of her journey, and those little moments shared with family and friends all add something truly personal to the story of the day.

Orlaigh looked absolutely incredible in her stunning gown from Jill Jones Bridal, and her bridesmaids looked amazing in their dresses from Azazie.

The morning was filled with so much laughter, happy nerves, and excitement as the final touches came together. The talented team from Triona Hair & Beauty and Claire Bingham worked their magic, creating beautiful bridal looks while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and full of smiles.

And of course, everyone was glowing thanks to Flawless Tanning.

A heartfelt ceremony at their local chapel

After a morning filled with excitement and anticipation, Orlaigh made her way to their local chapel where she and Adam would finally become husband and wife.

There is something incredibly special about a ceremony taking place somewhere that is part of a couple’s own community. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Orlaigh & Adam exchanged their vows in a beautiful and emotional ceremony filled with love, laughter and plenty of happy tears..

The moment they saw each other, everything else seemed to disappear. They were completely focused on one another, and it was such a privilege to witness and document.

Looking around the chapel, it was clear just how much love surrounded them. There were plenty of tissues in hand, lots of smiles, and those little moments between family and friends that made the ceremony feel so personal.

And yes, I’ll admit it, I may have had a little emotional moment behind the camera too!

A wedding reception full of laughter, dancing and craic

After the ceremony, the celebrations really began.

The reception at Clandeboye Lodge was full of energy, with a room packed with laughter, happy tears, and incredible speeches. It was clear just how loved Orlaigh & Adam are, and hearing stories from their family and friends was such a special part of the day.

Then came the party.

The dance floor was where everyone wanted to be, with the celebrations continuing long into the evening. From the first dance to the late-night songs, there was no shortage of fun, laughter, and plenty of craic.

And just when everyone thought Orlaigh’s bridal look couldn’t get any better, she surprised everyone with a stunning dress change that had the room talking!

One of my favourite parts of any wedding day is stepping outside with my couples for a few quiet moments away from the celebrations

As the sun went down and the lights around Clandeboye Lodge began to sparkle, we took some time for some beautiful night portraits.

There is something so special about evening portraits. The excitement of the day has settled, the couple can finally take a breath, and you get those genuine moments where they can just enjoy being newly married.

The atmosphere at Clandeboye Lodge in the evening was incredible, and these portraits quickly became some of my favourites from the day. They captured that amazing feeling of being completely wrapped up in your own little world as newlyweds.
